Ali and I went to check out the balloon that we see from the freeway each day as we drive past. (This is only about 3 or 4 miles from our place.)
"The Great Park Balloon is the first major attraction of the Orange County Great Park, a 1,347 acre public space on the site of the former El Toro Marine Corps Air Station in Orange County, California.
Balloon riders will soar between 250-400 feet above the surrounding landscape, enjoying a bird's eye view of the transformation of the retired air station into the first great metropolitan park of the 21st Century." (from the great Park Balloon website)

they had one of those balloons in Bali... needless to say we didn't bother going for a ride! I don't think the Indo safety specs would be anywhere near what one would consider "safe". However we did fly Garuda?
