A Fire Inside

I found this derelict old truck just around the corner from where I used to live. The late afternoon sun was flooding through the windscreen and making the rusted out mirror look like embers. (It looked a lot redder on my screen).

yeah, old trucks are cool. i remember finding an old truck burial ground way up the back of a cattle station in the exmouth gulf. nobody had been there years, i spent ages photograhing them in the setting sun. there are heaps of old vehicles over here just ripe for the photographing. really dumpy big old american relics, and surprisingly loads and loads of VW beetles barely being held together by the rust. You also find the amazon heaps of old 1950's american convertibles on the side of the roads, rusting to pieces. they go great in black and white!

Mate, I've got to say I am definitely jealous of your potential photographic subjects! The cars, the buildings, the people, the scenery - wow! Maybe its just that its not the culture we're used to, so everything looks interesting... Anyway mate, shoot like crazy!

mate, all I can say that the only thing the old VW's are good for is boat anchors! However, if you can get some good photogeny out of them then good for you!

Noice shot of the mirror... did u know that u can keep your weed in there?
